Item II B

Consider amending the Longview City Code and the 2012 International Fire Code to make the City’s Building Official responsible for the implementation, administration, initial interpretation, and enforcement of the 2012 Fire Code and of other City development regulations related to fire prevention – David Willard, City Manager.

Item II C

Consider request for a variance to Section B 105.2 of the 2012 International Fire Code requiring a minimum 1,500 gallons per minute fire flow on buildings other than one- and two-family dwellings. Request is made by Joe Ferguson, One Stop Automotive, 3045 W Loop 281 – Dennis Williams, Principal Building Inspector.

Consider amending Chapter 40 of the Code of Ordinances, Section 40-132 “Modifications,” to strengthen the requirements of the 2012 International Fire Code as it pertains to Animal Care Facilities – Michael Shirley, Director of Development Services
