Consent Agenda - A. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Longview Community Services Department to apply for and accept a grant from the Sabine River Authority of Texas for development assistance for the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center, and authorizing and directing the City Manager or his designee to execute any necessary documents incident to applying for, securing and expending said grant – Laura Hill, Director of Community Services.
B. Consider a Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee to execute any necessary documents for the purchase of diesel fuel for Longview Transit via the city’s purchasing agreement with the local government purchasing cooperative administered by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB Energy Cooperative) – Scott Lewis, General Manager-Longview Transit.
C. Consider a Resolution awarding a contract to and authorizing and directing the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee to execute any necessary documents with CDM Holdings, LLC, of New Boston, Texas, in the amount of $476,849.25 for the construction of 2017 Chip Seal – Rolin McPhee, P.E., Director of Public Works.
D. Consider a Resolution accepting the 2015 Bridge and Culvert Improvements at Spring Hill Road at Grace Creek and authorizing final payment in the amount of $27,781.95 to East Texas Bridge, Inc. of Longview, Texas – Rolin McPhee, P.E., Director of Public Works.
E. Consider a Resolution awarding a contract to and authorizing and directing the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee to execute any necessary documents with W. M. Miller Construction Company, Inc., of Longview, Texas, in the amount of $199,999.99 for the construction of the 8-Inch Sewer Main Extension from Hollybrook to Tryon Road Project – Rolin McPhee, P.E., Director of Public Works.
F. Consider a Resolution authorizing and directing the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee to execute any necessary documents for the application, receipt and expenditure of grant funds in the amount of $56,017 from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice 2017 Victims of Crime Act Formula Grant Program (VOCA) for the purpose of supporting initiatives which assist crime victims and their families – Mike Bishop, Police Chief.
G. Consider approval of the following minutes: April 13, 2017, and April 27, 2017 – Shelly Ballenger, City Secretary.
